Speakers

Siemon van den Berg is the CarbonFix foundation’s chairman and co-founder at Impact Equity Fund, a successful investment fund for sustainable innovations. Siemon is passionate about CarbonFix and will introduce its story, going into detail about the mission of the foundation to help fund innovations that reduce or capture carbon emissions.

Hans Helnerman and his team are one of the first grantees of the CarbonFix Foundation. Hans is a fascinating speaker and will talk about Yerrawa’s innovative project and how it aims to achieve its goals. Hans is PhD chemist and holds director and executive roles in R&D and business development at Shell, AkzoNobel, BIOeCON, KiOR, BiCHEM and Cellicon.

Rudy Rulkens is a PhD chemist and Principal Scientist in the field of chemistry of materials at DSM. His interests are polymer chemistry and energy. In the international world he is known for his work on sustainable polymers publishing in journals and books on the topic. He is scientific advisor for CarbonFix.

After working for several large corporates, Fernando Russo embraced a new career and founded Meraki Impact with the goal to create an investment portfolio aligned with the planet’s ecosystem. Fernando will walk us through his incredible entrepreneurial journey and how he now devotes his time to his passion of doing business in partnership with nature.
