About this project

Katapult Future Fest (KFF) is a festival that aims to accelerate positive change by connecting, inspiring and empowering a diverse global community of impact investors, change-makers, and entrepreneurs devoted to social, cultural and systemic change.

After several editions in Oslo, KFF is coming to Amsterdam for the first time in May 2026, with the theme Enter the Metamorphosis.

Tharald Nustad created KFF, inspired by the community ethos of SocCap and Burning Man, and the transformative vision of Singularity University. KFF stimulates genuine connection between participants that has led to countless businesses and initiatives being formed, including TWIST (Investors for Systems Transformation) and Coalition for Impact

KFF is unique among similar events in going beyond superficial symptoms to address root causes. The organizers believe that the themes they explore — from deep tech to oceans, systems change to AI and regenerative futures — are more connected than they appear. As co-managing director Evita Zanuso says: “Consciousness is what underpins all the themes: it’s the soil that makes it all happen.”

Founder Q & A

(This is a short excerpt – find the full Q&A here!)

Q: Going to such a festival can make you feel like you’re among like-minded people. What do you wish people outside of that “bubble” knew — and is there a way to spread that message or idea?

“Everyone knows the world isn’t in a great place. The transformation is happening whether we engage with it or not — the old system is dissolving, with climate disruption, democratic backsliding, and deepening instability. The question isn’t whether change is coming; it’s whether we actively shape it or simply react in crisis mode.”
